Free is free and does not expire. Pro is 10 USD a month for the whole organisation, billed by Stripe, cancellable at any time. Your product data stays yours and letting a plan lapse never deletes it. The software you run yourself is under the GNU AGPL v3 and those terms, not these, govern it.
We do not promise uptime on the free or 10-dollar plans, and we say so below rather than bury it.
These terms are between you — and the organisation you sign up on behalf of — and the operator of TurboPLM ("we", "us"). Registered address: available on request — write to office@turboplm.com. Company registration number: available on request. Contact: office@turboplm.com.
By creating an account you confirm you are old enough to enter a contract where you live and that you may accept these terms for the organisation you name during registration.
They do not cover the software itself when you download and run it. That is licensed to you under the GNU Affero General Public License v3, and the licence is the whole agreement for it — see section 13.
Registering creates an organisation and makes you its administrator. You are responsible for the accounts you create inside it and for keeping your own credentials safe; anything done with your sign-in is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly at office@turboplm.com if you believe an account has been compromised.
Administrators can invite and remove members. Removing the last remaining administrator is refused by the system, so an organisation cannot lock itself out.
| Plan | Price | Limits |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 0 USD | One member and up to 100 parts. Every module, exactly as Pro has it. No card, no expiry — it does not turn into a trial. |
| Pro | 10 USD per month, per organisation — not per person | Unlimited members, unlimited parts. The same software, with those two limits removed. |
Prices are in US dollars. TODO: state whether the price is exclusive or inclusive of VAT / sales tax, and how EU and UK VAT is handled — a business buyer will ask before raising a purchase order.
Pro is billed monthly in advance through Stripe, which handles the payment and stores the card. We never see your card details. Your plan changes when Stripe tells us the payment succeeded, not when the checkout page closes.
An administrator can cancel at any time from the billing page in the application, which opens Stripe's own portal. Cancelling stops future charges; the organisation stays on Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then returns to Free.
We do not run automatic refunds. If something went wrong — a duplicate charge, a subscription you meant to cancel and did not, a month you could not use — email us and we will sort it out. If you are a consumer rather than a business, your statutory cancellation rights are unaffected by anything here. TODO: have a solicitor confirm the consumer cancellation wording for the jurisdictions being sold into.
If a payment fails, Stripe retries on its own schedule. We may suspend an organisation whose subscription has not been paid, and if we do, we will tell the administrators first.
Nothing is deleted, hidden or locked. An organisation that had 4,000 parts on Pro and drops to Free keeps all 4,000 of them and can keep reading and editing them; it simply cannot create the 4,001st, or add a second member, until it is on Pro again. This is a deliberate decision, not an oversight — a customer whose card expired should not lose access to their engineering record, and holding data hostage is not a way to collect a debt.
Everything you put into TurboPLM stays yours. We claim no ownership of it, we do not use it to train machine learning models, and we do not share it with anyone except the processors named in the privacy notice. We access it only to run the service, to fix a fault, or because you have asked us to help with something specific.
Parts and bills of material can be exported as CSV or JSON from inside the application at any time, so leaving does not require our cooperation. How we handle account data, deletion requests and the audit trail is set out in the privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.
Do not use the hosted service to:
We may suspend an account that is actively causing harm, and will explain why. For anything that is not an emergency we will raise it with you first.
We aim to keep the service up and we watch it, but the Free and Pro plans carry no service level agreement, no uptime guarantee and no support commitment. Ten dollars a month does not buy a 24/7 response, and pretending otherwise would be the first promise we broke. Maintenance can mean short interruptions. If you need a response time you can plan around, that is what the support agreements in section 12 are for.
You can stop using the service whenever you like; cancel the subscription first so you are not billed again, then email us if you want the organisation and its data deleted. We may end this agreement for a serious or repeated breach of section 8, or if we discontinue the hosted service — in which case we will give you reasonable notice and time to export, and the self-hosted build remains available under the AGPL so there is always somewhere to land.
demo.turboplm.com is a single shared instance provided for evaluation, seeded with sample data. Accounts created on it are read-only. It has no confidentiality and no durability: everything in it is visible to every other visitor, and it may be reset or taken down at any time without notice. Do not put real product data into it, and do not reuse a password you use anywhere else.
Data migration, ERP and CAD integration, installation on your own infrastructure, advisory work and support agreements are quoted and contracted separately. The prices on the marketing site are starting points, not offers — the scope moves them, and you get a fixed number in writing before any work begins. Each engagement has its own statement of work, and where it conflicts with these terms, it wins.
One thing worth repeating from that page: TurboPLM is open source, so every bug fix and security patch is published and free to you whether or not you pay for support. A support agreement buys priority, a response time, and somebody who performs the upgrade — never access to a fix.
TurboPLM's source is published under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3. You may read it, run it, modify it and use it for anything, including commercially; if you modify it and offer it to others over a network, you must publish your changes. That licence, not this page, governs your use of the software, and it includes the licence's own disclaimer of warranty. We give no separate warranty for it, and running it is at your own risk.
The hosted service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost production, or the cost of reconstructing data you did not export. TODO: this section needs a solicitor. Decide the liability cap (commonly the fees paid in the preceding 12 months — which on a 10 USD plan is 120 USD, and that number needs to be stated deliberately rather than by accident), and the carve-outs that cannot be excluded: death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, and anything else non-excludable in the jurisdictions being sold into.
Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose. Ours are described in the privacy notice; they exist to recover the service, and they are not a substitute for your own copy.
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. For a change that materially affects a paying customer we will email the organisation's administrators before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service after that is acceptance. If you do not accept a change, cancel — see section 5.
TODO: governing law and the courts with jurisdiction. This has to match where the operating entity is actually established, and it is the clause a buyer's legal team reads first.
office@turboplm.com — for anything about these terms, billing, or an engagement.
